And the Giants will be watching on TV, just like me.
I'd better get prepared so time to quit being so cheap and buy some good amps to drive the Boob Tube's Maggies.
Today the friendly UPS man delivered two boxes.

I have had several Odyssey amps and I’ve watched many football games (never mind a ‘Super Bowl’).  I’ll take the amps any day.

Bi-ampling or surround?

Khartagos, a 2 channel and a mono, for 3 fronts?

In case you missed it, the Rams won and I missed the halftime show.
I kept thinking the boob tube system could sound better but I wasn't sure if the speakers were good enough: MMG, CC5, MMG-Ws but I've been screwing with it for the past 9 months.
I finally got it by going with some Odyssey amps: a Khatargo stereo, a Khatargo mono and a Stratos which is much larger than I had anticipated.
Are these amps overkill?
Yes.

Because things FINALLY sound really good I added a Rega Apollo-R CD player and will use the Oppo BDP-103 for movies.
Other equipment is an AVA Avastar preamp, an old Sherwood tube tuner, an AVA Humdinger, an APC H-15 power conditioner and an old SVS subwoofer whose plate amp died so I turned it into a passive and use an external Dayton plate amp.
Spent more than I wanted to but it finally sounds the way I want it to.

Thrilling update: the boob tube system now has a Rega Saturn, the Apollo-R went back to the LRS system.
The Saturn just had too much bass output for that small room but it works just fine in the living room.
