As I am new to the DIY speaker world I have a quick question about back orders.  I have ordered the XLS-Encore kit (full upgrade).  The tweeters are out of stock and I understand you are testing replacements.  My question is: as you get orders for kits that have back ordered parts, do you go ahead and prepare the rest of the order and just wait on the back ordered part(s) to fulfill the order?  In other words, do you pull everything else off the shelf and put them in the box for that customer while waiting on the missing parts?  My fear is that as we wait on the tweeters to come in, you are also running out of capacitors and inductors.  Will I then have to wait on those parts after the tweeters come in?  I hope you can shed some light and alleviate my fears.  Thanks guys.

Currently, we have a fair number of backorders filled, namely upgrade kits, but also about half if the X-series kits are currently packed with the exception of the tweeter and tweeter curcuits as we dont yet know what changes will need go to be made.

We just got a bunch of inductors that have been holding up a ton of upgrade kits.

We also have really good stock on Sonicaps and Miflex caps at the moment.
We're working with a new US manufacturer for producing our coils so we dont need to rely on Solen and the import fees.

Once we get the current backlog of upgrade kits shipped out, we'll start packing more X-series orders leaving out the tweeter parts until we have a unit with acceptable acceptable. And once we know what value caps we'll need, we will be ordering a ton of those values to make sure getting through current backorders isn't an issue.
