Has anyone heard the Wharfedale Opus line of speakers?

I just came across these in Audio Advisor for a pretty good price. They are a very nice looking speaker and the ad boasts they have one tenth the distortion of an ordinary cone speaker. A pretty lofty claim that raised my curiosity.

I own the Wharfedale Opus 2 (Piano Black Gloss),  and absolutely love them!

I have no clue as to their claims of  " one tenth the distortion of an ordinary cone speaker " .   I haven't have the slightest clue as to what the standard is,  for ordinary or conventional cone speakers.  Nor do I have capabilities to measure such things.

What I can tell you is this.

They are clean, clear, sweet and smooth to my ears,  with the right components mated upstream.  I feel the emotion and passion of the melody,  the vocals and instruments.  Emotion and passion are conveyed very well.  I like the timbre.   I love listening to them and never get fatigued.   They are a pleasure to my ears.

If you haven't done so yet,  I would recommend you auditoning them,  to see if yours ears like them.

The Opus series also does very well with tube gear.  They sound great with quality Solid State too,  but they seem to love tube gear as well.
