Is XLS crossover the same as X-SLS

I guess my question is can you transfer a XLS crossover into a X-SLS box. Or are the values the same on X-SLS as XLS? Thanks

Yes, the crossover is the same. The only difference is the size of the cabinet.

Thank you, I thought I had heard that but was not sure. Does anyone know how much lower the larger cabinet will get you. I know it will go lower but will you lose the magic of the XLS? I’m guessing imaging may not be as good but I could be wrong.

Aside from deeper bass extension in the SLS, there should be no difference in terms of tone, imaging or soundstage, all else being equal.

The only things that physically change are the cabinet size and then needing 28 feet of wire, instead of 14.

On average:
The X-LS plays down to 55Hz
The X-SLS plays down to 45Hz

I built the SLS to replace the LS that I’d built precisely to acquire that extra bass extension, which is very noticeable and in my case desired. It takes a little bit of extra planning when building the crossover since you can't fit it to the bottom of the cabinet like the LS after the box is built. In my case I made the crossover board shorter so it could fit on the back behind the tweeter. The tube connector holes are just reachable thru the woofer hole (34” sleeve, shorter arms might have some difficulty). The imaging and depth match the LS and that extra bit of bass is really nice.
