I'm not a country fan, but I am pleasantly surprised when I hear a song (usually a cover) that 'turns out to be country.

Example:  The White Stripes cover of "Jolene" or Social Distorion cover of Ring of Fire.

I'm also a fan of the reverse in Johnny Cash, his last album has some great covers of non-country. 
Example: he covers nine in nails "Hurt"

Great suggestion, rif!  I'll have to check out some other "crossover covers".  A couple that come to mind are Rodrigo y Gabriela's cover of "Stairway to Heaven" and Ottmar Liebert's cover of "Paint It Black".

Every once in while I have to have a Patsy Cline fix but other than that....

However I would rather listen to Country all day than have to listen to rap for one minute.
