AV123 X-Statiks

AV123 X-Statiks

I have been offered a pair of AV123 X-Statiks for sale.  Since I don't have any DIY equipment or space, I would prefer to buy assembled or minimum DIY, so finished speakers have appeal.  The pics look okay/good.  What questions should I ask the seller?

Do they still have the original boxes for shipping or will you be picking them up in person?

One of mine got damaged in shipping, cracking where the baffle meets the lower cabinet. Have him send pictures of that area around the lower mid woofer.

Plus you can still upgrade the original crossover boards by swapping out caps in the future.

What color/veneer are they?  Some of their veneers had issues.

I will be picking them up.  Between me and the current owner is the GR Research facility.  Considering dropping them off to have them evaluated before taking them home but have not asked GR Research yet if this is workable

Ok black is pretty straight forward. Scratches are the things to look out for.
