A type and date-code matched pair of
VERY EARLY PRODUCTION HOLLAND NOS-Testing Pinched Waist tubes--with no microphonics or other sonic variances so these are phono grade.
Both are 1956 7L2-delta 6L matched date codes .
The data are NOS test on a
calibrated Hickock TV10-D/U, with 7500 as minimum value and 12,000 as NOS specification, this lovely pair test as follows:
12,500/12,500 and 13,500/13,500.. On my EICO calibrated 666, these test 130/130; 140/140--with new spec at 120 for this type and min at 70. The glass is virtually crystal clear and pin gild is nice. The printing, however, is faded. One is branded Valvo (owned by Philips/Amperex) and the other Philips-Miniwatt. See the magnified picture, showing the
same etched codes in virtually the same location on the glass, supporting they were made in the same Heerlen factory at the same time.
These are top-of-the-line in the 6DJ8 family--and in fact--the Mother of that type.
Pricing is at $750/pair--which is considerably lower price (hard to believe but true) than I have seen on eBay and Agon for the less desirable versions. 7L2 comes up very rarely and usually not matched and NOS testing. Offers entertained. Thanks.
