Favourite Modified Speakers
« on: 5 Dec 2021, 04:52 pm »
Hi everyone, I’m new here. Been watching some of Danny’s vids on YouTube, and I think he’s a knowledgeable guy. I was just wondering if someone could point me to a thread where he lists all of his ‘favourite modified speakers’. Thanks

This should help:

Thanks for that Tyson, very useful. Do you know if he recommends a decent ‘power amp module’ which can make make the speakers ‘active’ ? Or possibly this is the wrong forum for that.

DIY Active speaker is kind of an oxymoron in that an active speaker is just the speaker maker shipping an amp with the speaker that is optimized for that speaker. Usually it is built into the cabinet, but that is a detail.

If you are doing a diy speaker and a diy amp, that is basically the same thing if you make sure the amp design is good for the speaker you are doing.
