I received my SET 120 Control Amp with the Vision Q Phono Pre-Amp last Thursday and have been evaluating the amp with digital sources and my VPI Prime turntable. My speakers are the Vandersteen 3A Signatures.
I am absolutely stunned by the performance; clean, clear, precise, and musical is how I would describe this amp/phono section. I am amazed by the low frequency performance of my Vandys now with this amp! I do not really need my sub-woofer!
All my music is a brand new experience again! So much more detail and information I have never heard before!
FYI, I saw Steve Guttenberg’s recent review on the SET 120 CA and it’s one of the reasons I took a chance on this amplifier. I am a fan of affordable integrated amps having owned the Rogue Audio Sphinx V3, Nad 3020, and Dynaco SCA-17. But I think your SET 120 is very special!
I am a architect and I believe in “form follows function”, efficiency and simplicity, which I think best describes your products. I also admire your business model and your longevity!
