Dude,

Seriously.  You’ve gotta give a little information. What's your budget?

$100? $500? $1000? $5000?

Why what? Why does he need to state a budget? Or why does he want a tube dac? Or why are we cluttering up his ad with these questions?

Hi I have a MHDT Havana I may want to sell just hadn't considered it, I have 3 5670 tubes. Also Garage 1217 6922/6sn7 adapters. I may have a extra 6922 bugle boy with half its life left and some rca silver label and some Ken Rad's 6sn7. What is a fair price for all this? It's boxed up some where around here. 15 year audiogon username paulcreed.

I have a Eastern Electric DAC Plus MKII w/ Burson V6 Classic Single/Dual opamps.

HUGE improvement with the Burson opamp upgrade.

It runs a 12AU7 tube output stage. I have maybe 5 different vintage tubes that you would be able to roll, if interested.

Wasn't really looking to sell, but I'm open to offers :thumb:

The MHDT Havana that was mentioned previously is something that I would highly consider.  I own 1 of the Orchid models and even though I have replaced, I am still holding onto it.  I purchased the Musical Paradise current DAC.  It can be had for around $1,200 based on your options and is a very, very good DAC.  It can also be upgraded with tubes, capacitors, and even the DAC chip if a new becomes available.  Good luck!

I am selling my Border Patrol SE SPDIF (COAX input) R2R DAC in perfect functional and excellent cosmetic condition with new NOS EZ80 vacuum tube (~20 hours). High quality, handcrafted by the Border Patrol owner, and made in the USA (Maryland). I would like $900 but am open to an offer. It is great sounding and in pristine condition. I have a second one that I picked up from a friend's estate sale that is in poor cosmetic condition that I will keep. Thank you in advance. K

for mhdt dacs i would suggest orchid stockholm istanbul over the havana where the analog signal is still driven by the dac chip op amp... havana has a slight but discernable solid state sheen and fine grain to the treble and upper mids that is not heard on the other op-amp-less models where the tube buffer has a greater influence on the sound - the havana is a carry over from prior development generation of jun tsian's dacs

the other models are slightly more expensive but imho worth it given why we pursue these tube dacs in the first place

i also preferred the mhdt dacs over the border patrol se-i... bp is very smooth and warm sounding but to me lacked some of the insight (inner detail) as well as the bass drive of the better mhdt dacs

just my 2 cents

I ended up giving dac to my brother and informed OP right after post. I own the Orchid and have to disagree. I have never found the Havana to be as discribed above. i would say it is 80% of the Orchid. Tubes play a large part of its presentation. I use both the 6922 and 6sn7 adapters. One of my favorite tubes was the gray glass RCA 6sn7. Bugle boy and Amprex SQ/PQ were also nice. I would have thought 6sn7 Ken Rad's and 6922 Volvo would be great but not so in my system. It also was modded with a few caps swapped out.
