All new email stuff

As some of you guys know I have been having to answer 100 to 150 emails a day. It is killing me over here and keeping me from being productive.

We have now converted all of my emails to Google Workspace so that the rest of my employees can answer emails and from any computer anywhere.

This should free me up from answering 50 times a day the same questions, like do you ship to the UK.

This is going to take a little bit of time to propagate and start working smoothly, and it may take several days to get caught up on the emails. So hang tight.

That's great news!

Expect to see me answering emails on the regular, now.  :thumb:

Awesome news.

Danny gets time for innovation and more U-tube videos.  That 's a big win /win.  Well done Hobbs for picking up the workload and answering all the "same old" questions which I'm probably guilty off....

Humble suggestion:

I know you want to add a personal touch to your interaction with your customers, and that is highly commendable. I am wondering if you might consider adding a "Frequently asked questions" category to your web site and then you can just refer an inquiry to that? Or even ask that prior to contacting you directly they read those to see if that answers their questions. Another option might be to add a frequently asked Sticky Thread on this site and refer questions to check that to see if that answers their questions.

This might make the process of responding much faster and allows you to tweak response as a situation might require.

A lot of the common questions then to be more involved, but generally speaking, there's always a lot of "how much to ship to X country?" With no information provided on what they wanted to buy, and no sort of address info, etc. included.

But it's something we can work on going forward, but it'll take time to organize and type out the most common questions & their responses.

I’m seeing a ton of guys in the YouTube comments asking if you ship overseas, might be worth having Ron include some standard answers to those kinds of questions in bullet form within the video description. I chime in to answer from time to time when I’m able but there’s so many people brand new to GR there that I suspect a great deal of common questions get generated there that will only increase with the growing subscriber base. It’s fun watching GR grow in popularity!

Doesn't help that shipping overseas causes some really weird issues with shipping costs..
A guy from France called today and wondered why the XLS cos$t 110 to ship, but adding a sheet of Norez l, made the cost closer to 30. And why the cost of a flatpack cost $50 more to ship than assembled cabinets...
Weebly has issues to say the least... lol

Wow it's June 27 2021 and Danny's been answering every email personally?! Wow!  Danny my man you have earned even more of my respect!  Gosh that must've been quite a routine of answering that many emails.  Hopefully you took a breather and can now focus on your passions a bit more.  Take care man!  Thanks for all your hard work up till now.  👏 👏 👏

FAQ on the website? I'm 100% sure a lot of people will email anyways, but maybe a few less.

I too think a frequently asked questions page could help. Place the link on the contact page as well so they see it before the contact form.

I would also look into updating the contact form to include some dynamic fields. For example, there is currently a question to categorize the help that is being requested. Put that into a drop down field. If someone then chooses they have a "shipping question" then another drop down field can ask if they "want to know how much shipping will cost to my location." If they choose that, then more fields appear that ask for the necessary information (i.e. Products, quantity, and destination address).

As someone completely new here, I am curious how long it takes to ship something out. But I don't want to bother anyone with that question either. This is a great candidate for either an FAQ page or having a disclaimer on the order page about how long it takes to fulfill an order.

We just added one today. Mainly regarding international shipping costs, upgrading speakers/crossovers, and when to call.
(We get calls as early as 6am sometimes)
Might consider a couple more like:
(How much to ship? (non-international))
"Can you repair my speakers?"
"Can I ship you my speakers so you can install the upgrades for me?"
"Can I swap out my drivers for one of yours?"
Etc.

That is a fine looking FAQ Section. I hope that leads to better contacts for you all.
