Quad-amp setup using 10B?
« on: 5 Aug 2021, 11:40 pm »
I have a pair of PMC MB2 XBD speakers with Bryston SST2 electronics (2x 10B, 3B, 4B, 2x7B). Currently they are tri-amped, meaning one amp for HF, one for MF, and one for LF+XLF. The set comes with two 10Bs configured permanently in triple-output mode (HF, MF, LF outputs). I'm considering adding a 10B or 10B-SUB as well as another 2x7B in order to amplify the LF and XLF channels separately. What's the best way to set this up? Would I go from the DAC to the 10B-SUB and then to the 10B, or from the DAC to the 10B and then the 10B-SUB?

Does anyone have experience with this setup on the MB2 XBD? What crossover frequencies would I use?

Thanks!
