I now have the Omega 3 440 will an upgrade help drive my old NHT 3.3 speakers
They have a nominal impedance of six ohms and a low of 4.3 ohms.

Ask Frank.  I would play with what you have for awhile before doing anything.  See if the amp gets hot.  Nice speakers BTW!

If your old Omega 3 440 is not running hot or blowing fuses, use it as is.

The cost to upgrade to the HC version would be pretty expensive and not provide any great sonic improvement if it is running fine as is.

Save your money for a new SET 400.

Thanks Frank; I would love to have a set 400! What do you think of using a sub-woofer amplifier separately to drive the built in subs of my NHT 3.3 speakers (100-19 HZ 4.3 OHMS) Any negatives?
I Have done it and actually it sounds great, so far,  with your excellent amplifier driving the upper frequencies. But, should I also use  inline RCA plug type  high pass filter filters to block the Omega amps input from the now unused by it sub frequencies? Harrison Labs makes some but I could also design one; and I'm sure they have some good competitors.
I remember doing something something like that, RC filters, on my old Vortex Screens with the kind guidance of Albert Von Schweikert (RIP) They helped and I still have a pair of his VR2's in my living room

Bought the Harrison filters, they degraded the high frequencies somehow? So I'm sending them back
I think the 3.3's mid range crossovers do a good job by themselves now.
