I am considering buying a pair of SP Technology Continuum A.D MKI. MKI where characterized by having the old silver coned Seas woofers and the Vifa tweeter, if I recall correctly?
I actually owned a pair which I regrettably sold back in 2007. But now I have the chance to own a pair once again!
So my question to You is: Which upgrades are available for the MKI? I know that the MKII have the upgraded Seas (black cone & metal phase plug) woofers along with the Scan-Speak SS9300 tweeter.
I know that the tweeter Mod. requires modification of the waveguide and crossover!
Are these Mods. something that can be done by a skilled DIY'er?
What else can be done to lift the sound of these fantastic speakers to even higher levels?
