Some nice comments, but I didn't realize the price for 9SE is now $5000/pair??!!

Hmmm...

Unless these are huge step up from the 9.0 version, I highly suggest you go audition the Channel Island D-200's.

In my system, the D-200's better the NuForce 9.0 in every possible way.

If you factor in the price difference ($2300 vs. $5,000), it is very obvious where to turn for your amplification needs.

Well, I've listened to D200's, too, and I don't think that's exactly what I 'need', either.  

If I ever feel the need to "upgrade" from my VAC Ren 30, I'll probably be looking into VAC Phi series...

One might have said the same about about the Reference 9s ($2500) and the DNA-500 ($7000).   :?
