Hi,
Today I received a new
BR4 Remote from the Dutch Bryston importer.
I will use the
BR4 for controlling a
BDP-1.The BR4 works fine (I'm happy with it!). There was no need to set any codes to operate the
BDP-1.
However, I cannot work out how to change the batteries in the future.On either side of the remote , there are two small Phillips screws which I removed, plus the metal End Pieces.
However, the batteries are still not accessible then;
I suspect you have to slide the PCB out (via the rails inside the "extruded" Remote body) to get access to the battery compartment (on the PCB)..
However, the sliding of the PCB seems to be hindered by the operation buttons (I did not want to apply too much force, so I stopped) ...
Is this the correct method, or is there a hidden trick?
Any suggestions on the right procedure?
(The battery exchange method is not mentioned in the provisional BR4 User's manual (only the required device codes for the different equipment models), see:
