Using the Computer EQ with JVC F10 EQ
« on: 4 Mar 2005, 05:23 pm »
I like the Equalizer that comes with Winamp and I was reading in the JVC F10 manual that it saids if I connect another device such as an Equalizer with the F10 that it can create distortion. If I have my F10 connected to my computer sound card though the Line out/digital and I use Winamps EQ with the EQ on the F10 will it create distortion? Also, is there a way to bypass the EQ on the F10?

I have one more question also, for a couple of weeks I will have to use speakers that are 8 ohms and I read where the F10 is 6 ohms. Is that going to hurt anything?

Thanks,
-Dman

I'm not qualified to answer the first part so I'll leave for another helpful AC soul, but using an 8 ohm speaker will only potentially IMPROVE your experience with the JVC.  It is a less taxing/demanding load for your receiver/amp than 6 ohm.
