Certainly looks better than David Lynch's version. Nice use of an iconic song.

If I cosplay wearing a stillsuit, will I be virus-proof?

Regardless, I'm going.

Yet another stab at making a Dune movie that might be watchable.  I suppose hope springs eternal, but is it possible that the book simply can't be made into a screenplay that works?  I feel you'd have to rework all of the dialog which would change the story so much that diehards will rebel.  As it stands I don't know how actors deliver those lines convincingly without sounding, well, silly.  This from a lover of the books, having read all of the many sequals.

Oh, forgot to add, yes, I'll be close to first in line for the movie.  I'm a masochist.

Reminds me of what I thought when I heard about Peter Jackson's making of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. That odyssey turned out rather well, so there is hope.

Hopeful.

Not terribly optimistic.

The changes in order to be more PC are concerning & disappointing.

Denis Villeneuve makes intense films with a lot of depth so I'm not worried about the new Dune being too PC. When "Blade Runner 2049" was announced I wondered why this director was chosen to make a sequel to such an iconic film, there was plenty of opportunity for a disaster.

I researched Denis Villeneuve's filmography on IMDB. I had already seen "Arrival" and "Sicario" so I went back farther and watched "Incendies" (2010), "Prisoners" (2013), and "Enemy" (2013).

I'm sure we will be in for quite a ride with nothing held back.

Incendies
