Sonic/Tripath Bass problems

panomaniac,
I was refering to the "bridged" SI description, wondering if the TA2024 is nothing more than two of their smaller stereo amps, just bridged together to make one, more powerful, stereo amp. Therefore, could it be possible to use the TA2024's stereo input as a mono bridged input giving one the option of making it a mono power amp? I've got two Stage Accompany SA 8535's(compact ribbon drivers) lying around that might like something like that...especially with a built-in crossover slope to avoid an external crossover. Any ideas what kind of power we would be talking about if that was the case? Then, couldn't a TA2024 be turned back into a four channel(unbridged) amp with around 2-3 watts per channel? Just thinking out loud.

No, the bridging takes place in the output stage. Have a look at the schematic, you will see that there is a single opamp on each input.
No more bridging or unbridging is possible, AFAIK.
