Klipsch RP-8000F upgrade kit. Please help.
« on: 23 Aug 2020, 05:50 pm »
Hi guys, I've recently received my upgrade kit and I'm anxious to get it done. However, I've never built a crossover and I'm very nervous to get it wrong. Has anyone out there upgraded their RP-8000F towers with Danny's kit and do you have photo's of the crossovers? Thank you in advance for any help at all.

I recommend watching Danny’s videos.

I've watched the youtube videos and they are helpful. However there is no video of him building out my specific crossover kit because well, he never built one out. I was hoping maybe someone here had done one and documented it with photos.

Check here, post 7.

There’s not going to be a step by step build out most likely since that would show all of the values of the redesigned crossover, which Danny spent time working on. He will always help via phone or email though and usually you can find someone here as well. That post may be all you need but if not I’d recommend shooting an email to Danny with the network mocked up and have him confirm you have it right.

Do you have the crossover schematic?  That’s your map for connecting the pieces.

Thanks Hawkeye, that's a good idea. I'll mock it up and email him some photos. Yes I have the schematic Corndog. I understand how to assemble each circuit but I want to confirm which circuits can be tied into each other to save space and make it look nice. Also would just like to confirm that I am running the positives and negatives back to their correct locations.
