Hi, wondering if anyone can give me any advise. I have a good friend that wants to sell me a his pair of Usher tiny dancers for $500 shipped, which is a good deal but I've never heard these speakers. I believe Danny had a part in these speakers. I have a pair of XLS with foil inductors, mills resistors, sonicaps, I don't know the model but with the better tweeter. Has anyone heard the Usher and the modded XLS and can share some insight on which one is better or what the difference between the two is. I think the XLS is a great speaker and have been very impressed for the money invested, thanks in advance for any help.

I've heard two Usher speakers, not the BE 718, and wouldn't own either of them. The price your friend is offering is pretty good though. If it were me, I'd buy them just out of curiosity.

Heck, if you don't want them, I'll be his friend.

Watched video thats interesting that there close, I would think the different type tweeters would put the Usher a little tipped up or maybe more detailed or harder on the ears. I put they Miflex bypass on the tweeters of XLS and thought it made it more enjoyable. I may just pass on the Usher and put money else where, thanks for the video.

Haven't heard the Ushers, but the cabinets alone are worth the price. You have a good friend.

No the diamond tweeter has higher sensitivity.
