Absolutely beautifully accurate sounding Vandersteen 3A Signatures w/Cherry wood.
The positives are that these are amazingly forgiving speakers. The benefit being that they make today’s digitally produced music sound more agreeable, easier to listen too. They aren’t syrupy but they do not exacerbate any part of the frequency range.
They have a couple negatives. At some point in its life someone spilled hot wax down the side of one speaker. Oh, and there is a burn mark on the top of the same speaker. These are both surface level, cosmetic issues. The fabric on both speakers in good condition other than the wax issue. You could buy a replacement which aren’t expensive or difficult to install. Again, I wouldn’t worry about it, but that’s me.
The top and bottom wood plate have a few dings/ scratches in the wood trim but no snags/ tears in the cloth socks.
I drove these speakers with a VTV NC502MP Amplifier and MiniDSP SHD Preamp/DAC and they sound and perform wonderfully. I selling because as accurate as they are I prefer a “livelier” speaker.
