Unidentified line array
« on: 3 Sep 2020, 02:24 am »
Hello,
New to this forum. Was recommended to try here from another forum. I purchased a single line array speaker recently and would like to know if anyone recognizes the design. It seems to be constructed very well as though it may have been a kit or a professional design. The mid woofers appear to be Tang Band and the tweeters are BG Neo3’s of some vintage. Just looking for an ID, suggestions, ideas, etc. Since it is a single, I am thinking of cutting it in half and making two shorter lines from it
thanks,
John

I designed them for Epiphany Audio.

Thank you. With this bit of info I’ve been able to find some details about them. Too bad I only have one. Apparently Epiphany was in Spokane where I live. This one is a bit beaten up so I will probably build a pair of smaller arrays. Can I scale the crossover values to match up with a different total impedance?
Best regards,
John

I still have a pair of the 20/21's in Rosewood still brand new and in the creates that have never been assembled.

I also have all of the parts needed for building them out.

So if you want to build out a pair of them I might be able to fix you up.

Thank you. That is a great offer but they are too large for any spot I have available. Could never get them into my basement where I have my system. If I can remodel the single unit I now have into something smaller, then I might have a chance to use them. Do you have any design info remaining that I could use to make one of the smaller versions? I only ask since the company appears to be long out of business. Either that or I will attempt to scale the crossover values for the lesser number of drivers.
Best regards,
John

Building the cabinets for the smaller 12/12 model without having a CNC machine would be difficult.

There was a guy on here at one time that had a bunch of the cabinets and was trying to sell them. If you do a search you may be able to find the thread on them and be able to contact the guy in Spokane that was trying to sell them.
