Just wanted to introduce myself as a newbie to this site.  My name is Art H and have a VPI  HW-19 MK3 turntable (2ND owner) that has not be used for several years and I need to find a reputable repair shop in the St Louis area to check it out for me.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would post your request in the Gateway Audio Society page, https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=70.0

I would post pictures of areas you might think are problematic.
It's a simple design, I have a maxed out III that I bought from John Evanthes, the late moderator of this forum.
Basically, it's got a belt that you should replace, a power button that should still work and a motor that should
still turn.

Call VPI, they are dedicated to helping and I have had good luck contacting them over the years.

Download a manual from

PM me if you have questions.
Have fun, way way simpler than suspended tables like Linn!

My pleasure! There are some good guys hanging out in that Circle. I've met quite a few at RMAF.

Good luck.

BTW, orthobiz is a great guy and a great resource.

You missed the motor on eBay (I assume).

How is your turntable project coming along? How about some pics??
