I prefer analog control myself as I listen to DSD.

Now someone said getting a remote with a BDA-3 does not then use digital volume control. If that were case I would buy a Bryston remote in a heartbeat...

I prefer to use an analog volume control no matter what the source is. All digital volume controls are data lossy - leave then at 0db and use a proper preamp, but to each his own.

I believe the person that said whatever they said about the remote was likely unclear in how they stated it would not use the digital volume control, although I'm speculating. I suspect if you have that remote it can control the volume on a Bryston preamp, therefore analog volume control. If not, then they are simply incorrect because there is no other way to control the volume output of a BDA3 than digital.

Cheers,
Robert

Hi,

No it will not replace the BP17 or the BP26 preamps.

They will stay in the line as they have different feature sets and prices.

Hi Sasha

Yes I had the prototype home last week and did some blind testing.

I would say we are about 3 to 4 weeks away from the final version assuming all goes well on the software side.
