I have a modified Balanced Pagoda. It started out as a replacement circuit board. I had a new power supply and other things added.

I had the two for a while and sold the original Pagoda and Keely the modified one. I also use 6922 tubes via tube converters, as I think they sound MUCH better in the DAC.

My 3 yr old twins would love to get their hands on all of those capacitors.  It looks great.  I am probably just going to grab an Orchid since these things are really hard to find on the used market.  Thanks for sharing!

That's a question I have into them now. Can balanced XLR's be added.

I talked to Linear Tube Audio last Thursday and the only unit for balanced is the Pagoda.

It also adds about $400 to the price on the web site.

He did tell me that the balanced option is the best performance of the DAC - usually 8 channels instead of four for the SE(?).

My ears turned a little deaf when I heard the price tag since I am not looking to spend that much for R2R first timer.
