Elac Debut F6
« on: 4 Jul 2020, 10:48 pm »
Hi Everyone.
I'm the owner of the Elac Debut F6 and not completely happy with their high frequency response.
Anyone has the same impression? It looks like many have the same issue with the smaller B6.
Is their a solution available for the F6?
I would appreciate any comments.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

I heard on Audiogon , put a piece of tissue in front of the tweeters .
U could also talk to Danny of GR Research see if he can make em better in crossover .

I bought a pair of Elac 6.2's for my daughter.  They benefit from warmer gear.  Luckily my daughters receiver has tone controls.  Though do sound very good for the price though.

I agree, consider sending them to Danny for a crossover upgrade.  Maybe some Mills resistors and jupiter caps or whatever Danny suggests.
