These are likely the best condition Ohm Fs on the market in the past 5 years or more.
The sound is amazing and they will reach down to 30Hz (sub not needed).
While great for center chair "serious listening" they are also uniquely wonderful for enjoying music while moving around the room. The omni-directional performance really needs to be experienced.
Driver work was done by Bill Legall of Millersound, one of the few well respected technicians of this model speaker.
Bill told me these drivers were one of the best preserved he had seen in a decade or more.
Cones fully rebuilt and balanced.
Fully cleaned.
Coils replaced.
Spiders replaced.
Surrounds replaced.
Inner foam replaced.
Base covered with grill cloth.
New fuses.
New wiring.
Frame dampening.
A small area at the very top of one of the drivers was reinforced with titanium foil. This area points off to the side/rear in typical setup, but has no sonic degradation.
Cabinets:
Fully cleaned
Any damage was repaired/reinforced with wood epoxy.
Re-stained (both wood veneer and black areas)
Ohm Emblems were sanded smooth to remove scratched black (looks more modern/clean in person)
Old small terminals were replaced with large, heavy duty ones.
Brown plastic feet were replaced with metal and rubber o-ring ones.
All screws and bolts are now stainless steel.
Original cabinet foam (degrading) was replaced with poly-fil.
New wiring.
Grills:
Fully disassembled (17 piece per grill), repaired, re-glued, and reinforced.
Cloth replaced with a very nice tan/beige Guilford of Maine speaker fabric- much improved "WAF". I can include extra should you want to match something else to it.
Packaging and shipping:
I do have the original boxes, but the foam is unlikely still strong enough for shipping. As such, local pickup/drop-off only.
I am located in Northern NJ, near NYC.
I am willing to drive up to 90 minutes away to meet up or deliver.
I can also assist with moving them and setup if you need help.
Buyer pays for any PayPal or delivery costs (gas/tolls).
