A quick questions:
I want to hook up two XLR (f) to RCA chinch cables from my BP20 to a subwoofer.
Should the cable short GND and Pin 3 (negative) or leave Pin 3 open on one end.

Thanks for your help

I would simply short pin 1 (ground) and pin 3 (negative balanced output) at the female XLR connector itself.

Then pin 2 of the XLR would go to the RCA Hot center pin and the shorted (pin 1/pin 3 wire) would go to the RCA ground.

Thank you Brucek, I would have done this as well, except for the fact that I read this in the manual:

It says: Do not short any of these three pins together!

That is why I am scratching my head. I don't want to simply try and then blow one of the output circuits.
Any further insight is much appreciated.

Do you have XLR or RCA cables?  You can also get adapters - e.g. https://www.amazon.com/HOSONGIN-Male-Female-Heavy-Metal/dp/B07Z94YC19/ref=sr_1_11?dchild=1&keywords=xlr+female+adapter+to+rca&qid=1590417112&sr=8-11

Thank you Phil, yes I have all sorts of cables and adapters and can also order the appropriate ones.
I also have a 5 meter SIAM XLR (f) to RCA cable for this purpose.

On brief glance, your link does not say, how Hosongin is wiring the adapter (GND and Neg shorted?). So unfortunately, it does not answer my question.

Looking at the schematics, I think that leaving Pin 3 floating is best.
Shorting to GND will load the output OpAmp unduly, generate a lot of heat and create extra distortion.
The manual states that the output stage wants to see a load greater than 600 Ohms.

I am using the dual RCA output with short interconnects to BiAmp my speakers.
Hope this will help anybody who wants tripple outputs from the BP20/25 or 26 in future.

Cheers
