Hi all,
For sale, a Yamaha RX-Z9 (9.1 channels, with internal amps for the 9 speaker channels, a pre-HDMI AVR), including the original remote. A few years ago when I last tested the features everything I'd tried worked (all speaker channels, pre-outs, video outputs), but in recent history I'd only been using the front 2 channels.
Asking $500 or reasonable offer. Located in the Portland/Oregon area. If someone really wants, I'd be willing to ship it at their cost.
It has reasonably a high-quality DAC plus serious internal muscle-amps good for driving difficult speaker loads (I used to use it with a speaker that dipped to around 2.6 ohms, and it worked fine to ear-splitting levels!), and still the biggest ever toroid and capacitor bank of any of the Yamaha AVR series to this day. I'd always used the digital inputs and it worked well.

2 Notes on the images: 1st: there are some shallow scratches on the left and right panels (and some leftover sticky on the rear right side) from before I acquired it, but they are thick aluminum and as far as I can tell it's fine (see comment above about having tested it when I got it). 2nd: the original remote is the black one, but it can be a pain to use/slow so I'd gotten a one from an inexpensive newer model and in general it worked well, including having programmed the menu control buttons into their places in the newer remote. I don't know if the programming is still good, but I'll throw the remote in anyway and it's simple to do that programming, most any mid-late 200x era Yamaha AVR manual covers that style of remote.
