Promising young guitarists
« on: 21 Apr 2020, 02:37 am »
Seeing Christone “Kingfish” Ingram live recently brought back memories of Stevie Vaughan in Texas in ‘81 and my first exposure to Derek Trucks with the Allman Brothers, probably around 2001 or 2002. On each of those occasions, I had the strong feeling that the young guitarist in front of me was going to end up being something special.

2 for 2 so far.  I believe that Kingfish also has the potential for greatness, and I will be following his career intently.

Any other young whipper-snappers out there who you think are bound for glory?

Good thread! Another one to watch is Buddy Guy's protege, Quinn Sullivan.

Wow - great replies so far.  I looked into all three and was very impressed.

Without this thread, I might have never heard any of them. I appreciate it!
