I was about to purchase the F12G but wasn't impressed with Enrico's unwillingness to entertain a call.  He only wanted to communicate via email.  So I did some additional research and found the SVS SB-4000.  Apparently this sub pairs nicely with Buchardt's S400.  Please vote and or provide comments.  Thank you so much

Better to go with multiple smaller subs.  Suggest reading Floyd Toole's "Sound Reproduction" an audiophile primer on how speaker/subs behave in-room and points out that all rooms have up to 30 dB bass peaks/dips which carefully placed multiple subs can address and a single subwoofer can make worse.  Also check out the top thread in the Acoustics circle for valuable links.

I'd take (3) SB-1000 subs in a heartbeat before a single SB-4000.  Or better yet (3) Rythmik L12 servo subs for roughly the same price.  Both are small sealed subs.  (I have (3) small subs connected to an M10 in my audio system.)

How is the M10 working out for you? Have you had any issues with the software? I'm waiting for M33 to be released, I will be waiting until NAD gets most of the bugs fixed. Apperently the 778T once you turn it off the first time, if won't turn on the next day and USB doesn't work, reset doesn't work it's just completely dead.

I haven't heard the SB4000 but I have heard other subs from SVS that are smaller. Make sure you are able to adjust the crossover.

M10 works flawlessly so far.  Still new, about 30 days.

To all that has responded so far, thank you!

I have a T778 on order.

There really is no comparison to the speed and control of the servo subs. If you are looking for quality then look no further.

And if high SPL is needed then I'd just use more of them.

And as good as the F12G is with music, with movies it vibrates the couch and rattles pictures on the wall of the adjacent room. And that's just one of them. Not only do you get that kind of punch, the sub is so quick and clean you can understand the dialogue coming out of an explosion. I was ready to pull the trigger on a $2,500 Martin Logan sub when I discovered Rythmik. Since they had an in-home trial program so I couldn't lose, I decided to give them a try and have never looked back.
