Since I live outside a major metro area west of Minneapolis St. Paul, I need to find fellow audio enthusiasts online, I guess. I'm here to get some more insight on spending about $2000 on a pair of double duty tower speakers.
I'm running a pair of Green Mountain audio Europas, but they don't fill my listening/theater room how I'd like when in two channel. So I need something a bit more robust to give me that big sound.
I have dual ultimax sealed 18's, so low end has good coverage. Mainly looking for something that does 50-60hz and up really well. Ideally in black to match the rest of the room.
As soon as I get wife approval... Might be slow in coming, but I'm starting the work now...

Hello and welcome.  I've owned many Aperion Audio center channels and love them.   Here are some open box  ~ Verus III Grand Tower Speakers - Gloss Cherry.  Not all black but the face is.  Decor could fit.  Free shipping to and back (should you decide not to keep them).  No middle man cost ta boot as they are internet direct.

Thanks for the welcome! I didn't know Aperion was direct to consumer. I've been exploring tekton options as well. I built a DIY soundgroup 1099 center to put behind my acoustically transparent screen. I could theoretically build a set of those for front L/R, they are crazy efficient, but I'm worried I'll miss out on a refined sound when it comes to 2 channel listening. I guess it isn't necessarily louder, but a bigger soundstage I'm interested in. I'm driving my L/R with an Odyssey Stratos Extreme and I've been really happy with it, so power shouldn't be an issue.

Your multi-channel speakers should all come from the same manufacturer, even the same "family" of speakers to match timbre.  Suggest looking into Ascend Acoustics Sierra 2EX.  Own their little brother for 20 years and still love them.  Recommend against towers as cohesiveness goes down and the room can become bass overloaded.  Selling towers on is also more difficult.
