Help me choose a preamp

Stan's new preamp is on the market at $1500. Reviews are outstanding. Stan told me that he is looking at a remote, and an HT bypass. I havn't auditioned this unit yet (I will soon), but those who have claim it is phenomenol.

Back when I was looking about 3 years ago I decided on the Joule Electra LA-100 Mk3. It has a remote and is an all tube design, down to the power supply. Its got resolution, musicality and dynamics, though I believe that it trades the last bit of resolution for musicality. List price is something close to $4k but you can get it used for less.

actually, this is exactly how i ended up w/my present preamp. but, i am done, now. at least w/preamps!

i really don't think i can do any better. perhaps different, but not outright better in all areas. and, i am yust happy enuff w/it as it is.
