JVC RX-F10: Will it drive 4 Magnepan MMG-Ws?

I tried the MMG-Ws (5 ohms, 88 db sensitivity) with a Panasonic SA-XR10 without much luck. While the Panny sounded great with 8 ohm speakers, the Maggies never came to life with it. I've read in the archives that several people have had success with JVC driving a pair of even larger Maggies. Would the JVC be able to handle four MMG-Ws crossed over at 100 Hz?

Don't see why not.....it drives the 4 ohm/2 way MMG Maggies with ease.

if it would be taxing it too much with 4 speakers instead of 2...

Doubt it as it has 6 amplifiers to do just that - drive 'em.  Especially as you are relieving it up lowest octave bass duties...I believe it would drive 'em well, but you never know till you try.

It's now $229.99 shipped from JandRMusic.com. The model is the JVC RX-F10.

Let us hear back on your results  :)
