In my opinion it is one of the best compact vintage systems ever made. It has 12" styrofoam woofer with gigantic magnet in modest closed enclosure and in separate semi open chamber an 8" fullrange driver is mounted . That driver takes over from around 200 Hz , alnico T35B horn tweeter compliments the rest. crossover arrangement allows for separate woofer and FR/tweeter connection making possible to use SET amp on the FR and nice PP or SS on the woofer. Speaker is efficient enough for 2a3 amp in that mode. There are L pads which control the volume of mid plus tweeter and the tweeter separately.
About the things I did. I installed 1/4' bitumen pads in woofer's chamber to damp the cab and added acoustic foam . Increased the gauge of wiring to a woofer , replaced electrolytic capacitors in woofers filter , replaced the el cap in midrange band with single 100uF film cap. I stapled new grill fabric and polished the cab with resto walnut finish  and applied a bees wax. It is an absolutely lovely speaker but heavy as a sin . Probably over 50 Lbs each. $480
