SOLD For sale is my Kinki EX-M1. The Kinki resides in NE Ohio.
This is a 215 wpc bare bones 2 channel integrated amp has taken the audio world by storm. It is being praised by pro reviewers and owners alike for good reason as you are getting a 55 pound beast in build, parts array and sound for a ridiculously low cost. Quality unheard of at this price point.
The Kinki is the best sounding amplification I have had. That list includes NCores, Mivera, Wells Audio Majestic, Odyssey Kismet monos, KWI-200 Integrated, to name a few. This is built better than any and is right there in sound and actually exceeding some with its neutral and very balanced presentation.Nothing sticks out and is never in your face making it a very pleasant listening experience that you never tire off. It really is fantastic.
This is the the most current version with gain switch on the rear making it very convenient to match sources. Early iterations did not have this. I'm moving to a new house and hence the sale. It's less than a year old and I am the original owner. Complete with original double box and everything from factory.(manual, remote, PC)
R2R VOL CONTROL
Most amplifiers use a potentiometer for volume control. EX-M1 uses an advanced microprocessor-controlled, relay-based R2R step attenuator. Ultra-precise 256 steps linear volume control allow you to fine adjust the volume for late-night-listening.
COST-NO-OBJECT
The EX-M1 uses extremely high cost 0.2µm gold-plated printed circuit board (PCB). From the perspective of PCBs, it is clear that the designer is well aware of the limitations on the fine contact area of the general circuit board, specifically increasing the soldered area at each solder joint and adding as much shielding as possible. It uses two 300VA UK made AMPLIMO transformers, one each for Left and Right channel power supplies, so that the power does not interfere with each other to improve the channel separation.
215WATTS RMS INTO 8Ω
EX-M1 is one of the rare Integrated Amplifier that is able to provide such a good driving capability in its price range. 215W (8Ω), both channel driven, can literally drive anything you throw at it.
