Lexicon nt 312 and nt 412

Lexicon nt 312 and nt 412

Hi,

Is the Lexicon NT 312 a rebadged Bryston 5B ST? What is the NT 412 equivalent to.

Hi amdan

Yes the Lexicon 312 was (3x120 watts) so was equal to our 5B and the Lexicon 412 was (4x120 watts) equal to our 8B.
It may be either an 'NRB' version or an 'ST' version depending on age.

Thanks for the information. The details of the units are:NT312 serial no.312336 date code 706 and NT412 serial no.412156 date code.702.
Are you able to tell much about them from these details? I am mostly interested in knowing if they are ST versions and their age.

312336 date is May 26 1997 warranty is over (warranty is only 5yrs)  unit is 12 yrs old this is a lexicon unit so i don't believe its a ST version
 
412156 date is July 9 1997 warranty is over (warranty is only 5yrs) unit is 12 yrs old again its a lexicon unit so i don't believe its a ST version

Hi James,

I am looking at a pair Lexicon 312 and 412 amps. The date codes are:

NT312 #9828 & serial 312593
NT412 #710 & serial 412173

Are you able to tell whether these are Bryston rebadged nrb or st series? Additionally, do you know if these models could handle a 4 ohm load in bridged mode? Much appreciated! thanks  -chad

Hi Chad

The Lexicons were NRB and some ST.

The Maggie has a low impedance but it’s a resistive type load so you should be fine assuming normal room size and volume levels.
