I have installers scheduled to install a frosted-glass pantry door today. Store says smooth side should face out. That seemed logical to me but now that I have the door on site I think that reflects overhead lights too much and might be unattractive.
I get that the side that needs cleaned the most should face out but I am not worried about ease of cleaning. I am concerned about aesthetics since that is the only reason I am replacing the existing door. Door is 36" wide so it dominates the corner where it forms the third side of a triangle. It faces the room at a 45-degree angle and is very visible from the entire great room.
I also read somewhere that the frosted side should face the lighting source to scatter it more and keep items behind the door hidden better.
Any experience? Thanks for any help.
