Has anyone had one of these preamps? I was browsing Audiogon and saw someone local selling one, so I did a little research. For what I've been able to find, it seems like a pretty nice preamp and one reviewer really raved about the phono stage. I've contacted the seller and he's willing to demo it for me, but as always I like to have as much info as I can.

This would be replacing the Bryston 0.5B pre that's in my system right now. I've decided the Bryston is a little too bright for my tastes and I'm looking for something a little warmer. As usual, I'm budget limited, but the asking price on this one seems pretty reasonable and I think I'll be able to recover most of the cost by selling the Bryston. This would be a temporary piece, I would eventually like to upgrade to a nice tube preamp (SFL1 or similar), but that's out of my price range right now.

I know someone that has this preamp.  Here is a link to his system over on MLO.  Jeff would be glad to pass on his experience and thoughts about it.
