My name is Robert Schneider. I have been enthralled by vintage audio long before it was "vintage." Although I own many classic items such as AR-3a speakers, Dual and Empire turntables, a Scott receiver and a number of other pieces, my primary focus is Bozak speakers. I have been a fan since 1958 and have owned five systems over the years. I still have four pairs.

I am by training a film-video director/cameraman/editor. However, my early interest in audio positioned me for my first jobs in the "biz" as sound engineer for Cinema Arts Center in Santa Barbara, Cinecraft Productions in Cleveland and Ed Lang Productions in Dayton. In 2008 I retired as the manager of Visual Communications at Nordson Corporation in Amherst, Ohio where I not only managed the staff and facility but continued to produce script-to-screen projects to the bitter end.

My current system is a Dual 1019 turntable, Rotel RCD-971 CD player, Adcom GT-400 pre amp/tuner, Bozak N-106A bi-amp filter, 2 - Carver TFM-15CB power amps and a pair of bi-amped Bozak B-310B Concert Grands that have been augmented to 4-ways with the addition of two Vifa tweeters in each cabinet.

The main reason I joined was to have the opportunity to respond to some of the Bozak questions and comments I read as a guest. Having heard the Concert Grand, Symphony, B-302A varients, B-401, B-501, some of the smaller boxes and even the B-1002 Bards, I feel qualified to offer a real-world perspective on questions regarding the sonics and value of Bozak systems and components.

    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.
