For your consideration.

Gently used (and abused) Salk Surround speakers.   These sound WAY better than their name would suggest.  They produce a very pleasing and accurate midrange you would not expect.  The cabinets are in excellent condition and the drivers (save for one) are also in great shape. The voice coil of one of the bass drivers was pushed-in by a short visitor. neat!  I tried several tricks to pull that out and had to resort to a glue-gun stick. That worked pretty well BUT it left residue.  The cone is still in perfect shape and they still sound amazing.  The grills are looking good and you cannot see the voice coil through the grills in most cases.  Anyway...  I've reflected this damage in my price. Even if you purchased a new driver and popped it in, your total expense would be well worth it.  For your reference, the driver is a Seas H1216-8.  You wouldn't even need to solder anything! These are top-ported so you can stick them very close to a wall.
