I'm going to be installing an internal HDMI to I2S card in my Oppo 203 and wondering about ways to cut the back for the HDMI port. I've attached some photos that come from someone who used a Dremel and then taped up around the hole. I'm wondering if there might be other ways (tools) make the cut.  Thanks,

you can't reuse one of the existing HDMI holes?

No. It's not visible, but there's a board with the needed (blue) connector that sits directly underneath where the HDMI/I2S board is mounted in the first photo.

For such a small cut and being that it is in sheet metal, using a Dremel is probably the best solution. Only other thing I can think of would be to mount the board externally somehow, in a separate box. At least that way you’re not doing anything permanent to the chassis.

Hadn't thought about that, thanks. The only connection I see in the photo is that blue ribbon(?) cable, which if so, must carry power and signal. Perhaps a longer one would allow mounting outside, if I could slip it through a slat? Is that called a ribbon cable? I'm already using a cheap external HDMI to I2S board off eBay and so have a box, if the board fit.  I would wonder - typical audiophile ;) - if there would be any SQ loss due to the longer cable and if anyone happens to make one with high end audio in mind.
