The Final Flight of the Osiris...

Is the best reason to see Dreamcatcher in the theater.

I didn't know what to expect from Dreamcatcher. But I figured I'd watch it as I was invited to a private screening, and was also told that they were running one of The Animatrix shorts after the movie was over.

I've not seen any of the other Animatrix shorts, nor do I really know anything about them (yeah, yeah, I know. Bad me...).

But if any of the rest of them are as good as The Final Flight Of The Osiris, then I'll have to do my homework, and do it fast!

If you thought Final Fantasy was awesome, TFFOTO was all that and more.

I've told many people before to not leave the theater for various movies when the credits start rolling or they'll miss something. If you miss what's after the credits for Dreamcatcher, you'll be sorry... :nono:

Upon further investigation I found out why The Final Flight Of The Osiris looks like an improved version of Final Fantasy.

Because Square USA did the animation...

So how was Dreamcatcher?  I've been thinking of seeing that one.

Now I have no reason not to go see Dreamcatcher.  I was going to go see it as its Damien Lewis's American movie debut (he played Major Winters from Band of Brothers).

I still don't know what to think of it. I know nothing of the book. It seemed like a few elements of the story were missing. Which is what normally happens when one makes a movie out of a book. It's hard to cut down so much info to 2 hours.

I didn't find it to be a waste of 2 hours though, as The Hunted was (as well as many other films are right now).

If you want to go see it, do. I can't say it'd be worth paying full price though. But the Animatrix short after the movie definitely makes watching Dreamcatcher worthwhile...
