It’s a DIY step-up transformer featuring Cinemags CMQEE3440A (here: http://cinemag.biz/mic_input/CMQEE-3440A.php) . I’m not totally fluent in spec speak, but these transformers are for 37.5 ohm loading and or 150 ohm loading - the switches on the front control it. The transformers are screwed into the bottom of the aluminum chassis to ensure they don’t go rattling around. When paired with my Denon 103 or Denon 301 mkii cartridges, this box sounds better than my old Denon AU-320 SUT. Selling this one just because I want to try my hand with the upgraded Cinemag transfomers. I bungled the last RCA jack placement on the chassis, but everything works fine, there’s no ground hum (at least not in my system), but there is that one cosmetic blemish, which you won’t even see once this thing is plugged in and set on your shelf. Obviously, the top plate and screws will be in place when you get this. And also obviously, the rest of the gear on the shelf isn’t for sale - I just threw that in there so folks could get an idea of how big this is (the photo was taken before I added the gain switches).

Looking for $260 shipped within CONUS, which is about what it cost to make. I know this is DIY stuff, so if someone takes a listen and isn’t satisfied I’ll be happy to refund the money (though buyer would have to pay return shipping). I’m happy to answer any questions.
