Bryston's slot vented top cover admit dust?

Anybody have issues with the top vented cover allowing dust ingress?

Does the 4B-SST run warm - i.e. OK to position BP25/26 on top of 4B?

PS - who thinks blue LED is better than green?

All of us with Red/Green colour blindness sure prefer blue.  The worst is those tri colour LED's, Red-Yellow-Green.... HUH?  And the lights on the front of my SP1.7, Red, Green is it?  To me it's On or Off, one is brighter than the other.  Amost didn't buy it because of those, but found out I really don't need to know.

My 4B-SST runs really cool - its temperature hardly rises above ambient, even after a heavy session driving IB1s (4ohm load).
My 4B-SST is at the bottom of the rack, with a 5B-ST above it , and a SP-1.7 above that.  I've had no problems at all due to temperature or heat.
By comparison my 4B-ST ran very hot, but it didn't cause any problems either.

I am red/green colour blind as well!  But I HATE blue leds - I find them too bright and piercing.  In fact I have replaced blue with red leds in any equipment that I have owned  previously.  Fortunately Bryston have not followed MF's 'bling' trend!

I must agree blue LEDs can be piercing....why they can't be softer or darker (..towards navy) is a mystery to me.

Still Green and Reds seems so old-fashioned and clearly hard to distinguish for guys with colour blindness...

Anyone for mauve/pink LEDs?

I know what would be cool....indirect (not bright) backlit Bryston logo....was just been admiring Hovland HP-100/Radia Pre/Power.....amazing looks.

Anyway..my rant is the vented top....hate dust...

No vents = fan

Fan = noise

Noise = bad
