I am the second owner and purchased in 2016. The first owner only used them for a few months.
I have the original box/Certificate/Speaker Grills . They have been gently used in my non-smoking/pet/child home.
They were in curly cherry but my wife wanted grey or black so had them re-finished in grey at a local furniture restoration store.
If you don't like the color they are relatively inexpensive to re-finish or Jim Salk can do it for a nominal fee.
I would rate them a 10+ for sound. Detailed /smooth and bass that is extraordinary.
Front ported to to be placed near back wall.
I am selling as decided to move to floor model as my new townhome has an open living space & current room is huge 30x23 and opens to kitchen. (ordering Salk Song3-BeAts)
I am also selling a brand new Sumiko subwoofer S-9 w/ wireless transmitter and the Q concept stands. (in pictures)

I've owned many monitors over the years KEF , Paradigm, Nola etc. The best to my ears have been the
Salk Silk monitors. I just listed them for sale on US Audiomart for $1800 /new they are $3595. Use upgraded 70-20 RAAL ribbon tweeter and illuminator woofer.

There are a few reviews on line for salk silk monitors all very positive.
You can also find feedback on the quality drivers used the RAAL tweeter 70-20 and the Scanspeak Illuminator. Also Dennis Murphy did the cross overs.
Combo to my ears is amazing , I actually sold be KEF reference 1 speakers that list for $7500 to purchase these Some would say that was a downgrade but for me a total upgrade.
If in a retail store these Salk silk's would list at $7500.Beauty and sound is in the eyes/ears of the beholder.
It is difficult to get an audition so I will do my best to describe the sound.
Bass is much deeper than their size and feel they go to 40hz effortlessly.
Bass is crisp and tight not boomy or muddy; helpful is the front port instead of rear.
Mid-range is clear and voices sound perfectly articulated. Tope end is very well defined and detailed without the bright harshness of some metal tweeters or speakers.This is critical to me as one word i would use to describe these speakers is musical.Not cold slightly on the warmer/neutral side without sounding sterile.Biggest advantage is their musicality allowing for long unfatigued listening experience.
Sound-stage is wide and deep for such a small monitor but speakers are still best used in a small/mid-sized room) hence my reason for selling.
If you like the KEF/Paradigm sound these may not be for you but if your preference leans toward above description then definitely recommend purchasing.
