Introduction

Hi,

I'm in the process of trying to get my wife to let me get back in the hobby after almost 30 years! She has little tolerance for boxes and cables and such.
In the old days had some Amber Electronics separates, DCM Time Windows and Dual TT with Adcom hi output MC cartridge.
Wish me luck and have enjoyed looking around the site.

I have see it some times here with some members, I really dont understand as North America husbands allow wife command his money and if he can have a sound system :scratch:

There are plenty of audiophile 'lifestyle' options out there. 

Currently I'm listening to the MacBook I'm typing on connected via a 10ft USB cable to a DSPeaker Anti-Mode 2.0 Dual Core (8.5" x 6" x 2") that is connected via XLR cables to Dynaudio BM5 MkIII active monitors that are on stands.  Total investment: $2,700 USD.   

A friend uses Tidal exclusively via his phone to KEF LS50 Wireless active monitors that have a built-in DAC.  Two power cords and one cord to connect the speakers.  Total investment: $2,000 USD plus stands.

These are two pretty high sound quality options, but cheaper can be had if your domestic situation (room, setup, hours, wife, budget, etc.) counter indicates.
