New guy here

New guy here

Hello Audio Circle! I just moved from California to the Mid-west (Chicago Suburbs) and I am looking to find like minded hobbyists. Also the long winters will allow for more time at home viewing movies or listening.
My HT system is based on a dated but still great sounding Golden Theater GTX-1 Pre/Pro and HK 5800 Amp and picture is from a new LG OLED65B6 Display, Oppo BDP85 and 4K Apple TV. Speakers are Boston Acoustics satellites and a DIY sub.
Stereo listening duties are handled by Musical Fidelity A3.2cr Pre and Amp, CD, MSB DAC and Dynaudio Contours.
We moved to a much bigger house and I'm loving having the space to set up my gear properly for the first time! Looking forward to learning more here.

Thank you all for such a warm welcoming!
I attended AXPONA last weekend, truly a highlight of living near Chicago now.
Great to see other Dynaudio fans here. Incidentally I had only learned of Salk Sound loudspeakers since joining AC and I was finally able to hear them at the AXPONA show. Truly worth the hype they receive.
