Modwright MODs on a dvd with dvi or hdmi
« on: 28 Dec 2004, 09:23 pm »
Does anyone know if Dan is doing any mods to any players that have a dvi and or hdmi output. I need a one box solution (with or without ouboard power supply) less then 6" in hieght due to cabinet placement. Dont want to bother dan until im ready to take the plunge.

thanks all

Dan is working on mods for the Denon DVD-3910. It seems to meet your requirements.

He works on the Pioneer Elite DV-59. That's got HDMI output.

I am finallizing mods for the Denon 3910 right now and it DOES meet your requirements.  It is also the best Universal Player that I have heard to date.

'best universal to date'
Dan, do you mean stock or modified?
Thanks,

Thanks again DW. Please keep us updated when things slow down after the show.  Like others on the board (i assume) those of us with one box and hdmi/dvi requirements are curious whether you can get the denon as close or "mop better" then the sony which seems to be your benchmark.

Happy new year all

I will definitely let people know.  The Denon does promise to be exceptional and it IS also a truly Universal Player.  I  know that a lot of people want a player with exceptional video and the ability to play DVD-A's as well as CD, DVD and SACD.

Thanks,

Dan
